Canada Day Giveaway!

For anyone who doesn't know, today is Canada Day. I'm Canadian, I love being Canadian, and I feel like celebrating. And as you know, the way we celebrate here at Today's Adventure is by giving away free books!

I've read some fantastic books by Canadian authors this year, and I'm going to let one lucky winner pick a book from the ones I've reviewed. Your options are: RULES (Read them carefully, because if you ignore me, I ignore your entry. Gleefully!)

This giveaway is open WORLDWIDE!!! The winner will be chosen sometime on July 20th.

TO ENTER: Comment on at least one of these posts, then come back and tell me you did it, being sure to leave me your email address. Make your comment something more fun than "Hey, great review!" Here are the posts that will count for a contest entry:
Tatsea by Armin Wiebe + another point for commenting on my author interview
The Prairie Bridesmaid by Daria Salamon
Late Nights on Air by Elizabeth Hay
The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong
The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson

That's a total of SIX chances to win if you read and comment on all of them! Extra entries:
+1 for following/subscribing, as long as you are sure to mention it.
+1 for blogging about this giveaway and/or my general awesomeness (haha).
+1 for reposting this on contest with a link on Twitter, Facebook, etc.
+2 if I think your comments were especially interesting.

If you want my two cents on which book to pick, I say take Tatsea or The Prairie Bridesmaid. Good luck to you all!

That's a tough call. While Tatsea seems really interesting I think I have to go with The Summoning. As I said when first read your review I'm a huge Ghost Whisperer fan and the premise immediately made me think of Ghost Whisperer.

*fingers crossed*
I hope I win. I'm dying to win something.

My first thought was Elizabeth Hay's book, but I read it. For some reason TATSEA by Armin Wiebe caught my eye, and I read your review. I can't imagine the struggles the first peoples endured simply in the daily tasks of living. Perhaps such endurance prepared Tatsea to have the presence of mind to hide her daughter, and remain steadfast while her family was killed by the Cree raiders. I find it difficult to understand how the Cree (also first peoples) would conspire with the Europeans for weapons against other first nation peoples.

Your review was a real teaser; now I need to read the entire book.

Tatsea Tatsea Tatsea! :D

Though I have a huge soft spot for CanLit(makes me all proud-like), I mostly follow genre fiction nowadays so I'm missing out on hearing about some of these. Thanks for sharing!

Also, hope you had a fun Canada Day! I spent it scraping old wallpaper off walls with friends. We had fun. And despite the rainy-ish day, we saw some fireworks in the car on the way to dinner. :)
