Review: Don't Judge a Girl by her Cover by Ally Carter

Last word first: My affection for the series continues to build. (4/5)

Description: Cammie and the Spy Chicks are at it again. This time, person or persons unknown are making assassination attempts on one of Cammie's roomies! Naturally, any spy girl worth her nightvision goggles can't let that slide by. And just to complicate matters, a certain interesting person of the male persuasion might just make an appearance. If you can see through his disguise, that is.

My thoughts: Have you ever had an experience where you meet someone, and dislike them right off the bat? Then you talk for a while, realize you really enjoy their company, and suddenly you can't remember why they used to annoy you? That's how I feel about the Gallagher Girls. The series didn't wow me to start, but I love it more, the more I read.

I can't say too much about the series that I haven't already said in my reviews of the first two books. It's smart, funny, and lighthearted, despite dealing with the admittedly scary world of spies. Thoroughly enjoyable.
A few thoughts: Are Liz and Bex ever going to get their own chance to meet guys, or will they have to live vicariously through Cammie forever? And when is Book 4 coming out? Because I can't wait too long.
About Ally Carter: Her life is either very ordinary or the best deep-cover legend ever. She'd tell you more, but...well...you know... - from the bio on her website.

And see I'm having the exact opposite reaction. I was frustrated by Don't Judge whereas I liked the other books.

from my review:
I love the idea of an elite spy training school for girls. I just wish it wasn't shoved down my throat every page. By this point in the series, I GET that Cammie is suppose to be an awesome "pavement artist" even though we have no real evidence of the truth of this since in every book she is always messing up. I GET that they have all of this training and take these cool classes. I GET that Liz is a super genius and everyone else is super smart too. I GET it alright. The concept has been set up already so by the third book I don't want to hear so much about it.

I need to read the rest of this series, I read the first book, but haven't picked up any of the other ones. To my library I go!
