This week's teaser comes from The Dragon Book, a collection of short stories featuring one of my favorite mythical beings. There are some great authors represented, including Garth Nix, Gregory Maguire, Jonathan Stroud and Peter S. Beagle. I chose a teaser from the story by Tamora Pierce:"Kit, I can hear you scratching rock down at our tent." Daine walked up the slope to us, tying her curly brown hair in a horse tail. "It's a dreadful noise. I thought you were chewing stones."
That's right! Daine and Numair are back for the story! Who else is super excited?
